Rotor blades on wind turbines are the most delicate part of the wind power plant. They are almost constantly moving, revolting thousands of turns in all kinds of weather conditions.
The blades operate under heavy loads and at the same time they are exposed to arctic temperatures, hailstorms and blizzards, lightning strikes and hurricane winds.
Add to that the fact that they are constructed to be as light as possible and still catch the wind gushing towards them, it is easy to realize that even the best made blades need a helping hand to stay in perfect condition.
